FIGAROCHIC X Xiaoyun Huang
When I was interning in SBS studio where located at Shanghai, I was responsible for the installation design. And we cooperated with the magazine called FIGARO CHIC.
She is one of the popular younger singer in China right now, and the installation design is based on her album concept. The concept revolves around a main word called "light", and she uses music to encourage her fans to stay strong and follow their heart. In other words, her album contains more happiness that help people to heal their heart.
From the lyrics of her music, it talks about the relationship between idols and fans. Idols like the star on the stage to show how shining they are and guide the people to find the right way. I usually liken idol to a lamp.
For this project, we use the lighting board as the background not only to show the concept, but also to define people who get help from her will condenses into star sea to protect on her back in order to reciprocate her help. It is bidirectional.
HER ALBUM
These her album covers. the graphic design contains more stars and she under the starry sky. All mood feel like swim in the star sea, so dramatic and gorgeous. It seems we stay in an unknown world but put us mind at rest.
According to above, we design the second board with too many white flowers stick on the silver mirror wallpaper. Colour silver like the moon and universe, white flowers provide a feel that purity and lighthearted. Trying to make a scene congruences her album concept.
